Im surpsose to be going to my college prize awards later, i have hated the whole year at college and i really dont want to go. I told my mum i didnt want to do all shes done is moan around saying cant you go for me, saying shes upset cos i wont go shes sat on the sofa looking all upset. In a way i feel like im being forced into going. Should i go or not?

Your mum will be so proud of you - go for her.  It's only an evening out of your life :)

I would have to agree with your mum, I would go too, if you don-t you may regret it for the rest of your life.  Why did you not like it at College?

It just wasnt as good as i thought it would of been, i changed courses and wish i hadnt. Most of what i did i already knew, i havent really in my mind benefitted from the course so dont wish to go and recieve a award as im not proud as i havent learnt anything.

If you don't go, you wont remember anything to regret...

I would just go with how you feel about it, but then again... as much as I hate to admit it, parents usually know better!!

Sorry, being no help whatsoever :)

Think on it this way. You say you did not learn anything new, you already knew what they were trying to teach, is that not an achievement in itself. Just because it was not learned at college does not mean you are undeserving of the award. You do deserve this award and you should be proud of it.
