my 16 month old lhasa apso has got one ear that is perfectly clean but the other one is clogged with black wax.he wont let me put in ear cleaner.any tips as to how i can overcome the problem and not get bitten.

Have you tried muzzling him ?
By co-incidence I know of someone whose lhasa had to have an anaesthetic yesterday so the vet could unblock the wax.  The dog just wouldn't let the owners near his ears.

muzzling him just makes matters worse.To him, muzzle equals ear cleaning.

Put his collar and lead on, making sure that it's tight enough and he can't wriggle out of it.  Either put him on a worktop (an old piece of carpet will ensure he doesn't slip) in the kitchen and tie him to a window handle, or tie him to a door handle and you sit on the floor.  Now you have two hands to work with, one to hold his ear up and the other to put in the ear cleaner.
