Hi, my 1 yr old lab has recently been diagnosed with ocd - in the wrist joint of his front left leg.  The vet thinks it is only mild, so he is on metacam occasionally, but is practically 100% most of the time - the vet says that surgery isn't on the cards, as it is not severe enough (and he believes that dogs do no better with than without this surgery).  At the moment he's having a bad spell, and the metacam isn't really doing much at all, so I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any natural/homeopathic/herbal/alternative (don't know too much about this, so excuse the ambiguous description!!) treatments I might try??  How about arnica gel - I know this can be great for arthritis in people??  Any advice greatly appreciated.
