My Dogue De Bordeaux is becomming a bit of a bully girl!!..  she seems to pick on little dogs,  she is 7 1/2 stone herself so anything smaller like a spaniel or puppies are a prime target for her...  she doesnt attack them as such (she doesnt bite them), she generally runs at them at an amazing speed and they are so scared of her that they start yelping before she reaches them,  or she has a run around with them and then tries to pin them down which is not at all good considering her weight.  I dont think she knows she is the size she is..  I feel really awlful when she does this and i warn the other dog owner that she is heavy handed and a bully and they say oh shes ok, then glare at me when she acts up.

Im sure that she just wants to play but her ever so good recall goes to pot when something more interesting is around...  She is 2 years old, she has passed Kennel Club Gold,  never had a fight, well socialized, plays so nicely with dogs her size so why is she like this with little dogs. 

Any advice would be a great help!!

She could be viewing them as puppies & be wanting to play My cavaliers tend to launch themselves at every GSD/BC/Border Terrier they meet  as they consider them as part of their "pack"having been brought up with them. It can be quite frightening for big dogs too to have a little dog all over them
