Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Looking for Boston Terrier bitch puppy
- By Guest [gb] Date 21.06.05 12:21 UTC
Can anybody help? I am desperate for a Boston bitch puppy or would consider young bitch. I can offer a loving, permanent home. I have no interest in showing at the moment but like to breed quality, so I don't mind mismarked as long as she is A1 healthwise & well-bred. I intend to breed the odd litter. I have had shortfaced breed before and am aware of the health issues. Will travel. Cash waiting.  Contact: David Bumford . Email: dave@bumford99.freeserve.co.uk

I don't know a single thing about Boston's, but surely no reputable breeder will sell you a mis-marked puppy that you intend to breed?

And few would be encouraging you to breed if there was no intention to show, as otherwise why would you be breedng?

How would you gauge your dogs quality, and more importantly those of sires, unless you attend shows/events where you can see the results of breeders efforts.

Shows were originally and largely still are the forum for breeders to show off, compare and evaluate their breeding stock.

They of course provide enjoyment for both owners and dogs as a side effect.

Sorry to be blunt but saying something like "Cash waiting" will not motivate any decent breeder to sell a puppy I am afraid never mind for one for breeding.

If you are not going to show etc etc you have no real way of ascertaining the quality of you dog , so how can you breed or be sure to breed quality pups alone.  Pedigree alone doesn't mean a thing.   If it did we would just enter our pedigrees in the shows ;-)

Sorry can be of more help.
