I am emailing you in the hope of attaining some information regarding the current popularity of Labradors.

There have been articles in the papers over the weekend and today stating that the number of pet owners is falling in the UK, I'm interested in putting together a piece on the level of Labrador ownership.

Is this falling trend in pet ownership reflected in the number of new Labrador owners?
Or have they remained at a constant rate over time, whilst other breeds have become less popular?

It would great if somone could help, or if someone knew of an appropriate body that I can contact in order to get information.

The most obvious place for details of ownership numbers is surely the Kennel Club?

I would suggest either getting in touch with the Breed Club or the Kennel Club - hope that helps. :)
