i know it is the law to have an id tag on your dog while out walking, but what if the dog doesnt wear a collar only a harness should it be attached to that? also when showing does the dog have to wear an id tag?

The law says collar and tag with owners name and address, so even if you use a harness he should wear a collar.  You are not meant to ahve anything that could ID the dog in teh showring, so that is the only time mine do not have tagged collars, though they wera their tagged collard to the show and have them back on once off the benches going home again.
