i ment get the dog to stop without having to restrict him in any way, :@)

how old is your dog and do you actually catch him doing a wee, or do you find he has done it when you wake up?

he is 2yrs old roughly, and he doesnt get on the bed when were in it its when our back is turned and then go back to the bedroom theres a little puddle! :@(

Well i dont think that you should give him a row if you dont actualluy see him doing the "deed" because he might not realise what the row is for. I would just put him out to where you want him to do one. If you do catch him weeing on the bed then say NO, and again, put him to where you want him to wee. :-) Is he house trained??

Oh....forgot to say.....Welcome to CD! :D :D

Sorry Donnie, a bit tongue in cheek, forgive me, silly mood this morning.
And welcome to the forum.
A few questions,
How old is he?
I assume he is not a puppy or would not be able to jump onto bed. If this is the case are there any particular reasons why you were given him and has he done this in his previous home.
Is he neutered or entire?
Oops just seen his age, but is there anything else that needs to be taken into consideration?

the reason we have him is, he was in a home with several childern and other animals, in a chav estate! lol and apparently the children are starting to get ashma bad so he had to go, he is very very skinny and needs feeding up, we are talking him to the vets tonight to have him checked over also, i will mention the bed wetting to them! :@)

donnie, I think for now, it would be best to restrict his areas in the house until he becomes more relaxed with you. Its not unusual for a dog to do this, a) marking territory b) stress. Until he becomes more at home and you learn to understand him a little, open up one room at at time to him. But keep him out of the bedroom until you are sure there is no lasting amonia smell. This will attract him to carry on wetting in the same place each time

if he is only doing it in the bedroom I would shut the door for a few weeks in order to break the habit :)

kayc's point is a good one. You only got the dog yesterday, he's unsettled and basically not houstrained yet. You need to restrict him and teach him where to go as if he were a tiny puppy. Don't get cross with him - he needs to learn :)
