Hi, as long as she's not over 18 months I'd put her into 718 JB.

Good Luck,

Dawn R.

At champs shows I dont enter more than one class.  If you win your 1st class you then have a chance to go for BOB, but if entered in a 2nd class, say YB, and she takes second, you will have lost the chance to go for BOB. But it really is up to yourself.

At a year old she will not be as mature as a 2 year old, and if entered in YB she may well be up against more mature bitches.  But in saying that she may not be, it depends on the entries.

This depends a lot on hwo numerically strong the breed is.  In mine we often enter more than one class in the lower classes in order to get some competition.

If you need the practice and these classes aren't huge in your breed (try googling for Higham press and look up some shiows where your breed had CCs and see the size of the classes).  If they are not large then enter JB and YB.  I would also enter one of the variety classes.  Junior stakes or yearling stakes, or if not those then Special Begginners stakes.

Under 2 years old, I tend to keep them in the age classes, so you would be able to enter in 718 JB and 719 YB. At a Champ show I would simply go for one entry and enter her in 718 JB.  Oh, and good luck :D

Thanks Kayc, I entered her in JB on saturday at the SCSBTS open show and she came 3rd! I was so proud and it was the first time I have handled her..we need to get a few more open shows under our belt first before we step into the big league!

thought we'd give it a go though.

I suppose it will be a big class so may be better just to put her in one.

I always enter 2 classes till the dog is qualified
after all if the judge likes your dog enough to think of RCC or CC
then your goner win the other class too,if you are beaten in the other class at least you know you werent going to get placed anyhow in the final line up.

The entries for Bournemouth closed last week
Send your entry off today and put last weeks date on the cheque.
(naughty I know)

You need to remeber that entries for champo shows can close about two months before the show.

I always arrange my show schedules in teh roder that entries close so the next to close is always on top.

Ok thanks for the advice, I think I will wait until the Richmond show now, she probably hasnt developed well enough yet and could do with some more work.
Thanks everyone for your advice.
