How do you stop them cracking straight away??  I'm sure that someone mentioned years ago that she used to put them in lemon juice or something overnight.

I would sure like to know the answer to that as well. I blames myself for washing them wrongly !

Hi, I've got two t-shirts with my dog's pictures on - was told to wash them inside out, in cold water, and hang them drip dry.  Which I've just done this weekend (their first wash!)- just soaked them in a bucket for an hour, then rinsed them under the tap and hung them out dripping wet.  Pictures haven't cracked anyway,

So before wearing them I should wash them?  As I did a really nice photo of two of my dogs and did one of a friends dog and put them on t-shirts.  We'd only work them for about half an hour when they began crackling.  Though there again they were of course new t-shirts so this could of added to the problem :d

Well no, I did wear mine first before washing them.  Didn't crack during the day's wear though, so not sure why yours would have started with cracks...

Maybe because it's so hot today?

Bet Jazz & Cody look good, Hilda :D

it could be down to the quality of the transfer paper and ink used. i printed a t-shirt for my OH a few yrs ago now and although there are small gaps in it now, its still not bad looking.
or is the fabric of the stretch variety as that can cause cracking :-)

Hi Margot,
They look gorgeous!  I've got one with Cody and one with Jazz, both headshots.  There was somebody doing them at one of the obedience shows, so I thought what better to wear to dog club!  Anyway, really pleased with the way they've turned out!

I would always say wash the t shirts before applying the transfer, however as someone ahs already said a lot does depend on the quality of the transfer itself. There are some new ones available that are much more like material and look really good.
