Well, I have just got back from running my first 10k :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I only walked about 10-20meters of it spread over the last 3k to give my hips a break as they were hurting.( I expected to run about 1k at least as I have only run 4 miles before today!!!!!!!!!)
But I DID IT and now have the medal in front of me to prove it :D :D :D :D
Ok, so it took just under an hour. I think I clocked in at 1:00 01 but took 10 seconds to get over the start line and start running so I was just under 1hour :D :D :D :D :D
anyone know a good masseur?????? LMAO

I was feeling pleased with myself until I read that you'd managed 10k - I did my first Race For Life this morning which was only 5k. I did it in 32 minutes so I was happy with that...................but 10K WOW, congratulations.

You make me feel soooo unfit.  You do double the distance then me with only 20 mins extra...NOw I really need to get fit....2 years ago I ran the Race for life in 32 mins (same time as arched)  Now I'm running the approx distance again and it's taking me 40 mins (though that does include poo and wee stops (the dog not me!!!)) Looks like I have alot to aim for now...Get as Fit as Lea!!!!!

Just done Boston 5 mile.
29 degrees, high humidity, no breeze.
I completed it. And didnt get taken away in a wheelchair. collapse at the end.(a couple did) pull out(tho I wanted to numerous times)
AND even tho i was one of the last in I got a prize. 3rd senior womens.!!!!!! Should have seen my face when they said my name at presentation. nearly fainted was just about to head to showers but thought I would wait to see who won prizes :D :D :D :D :D
Sorry just had to brag, but annoyed withmyself as if it hadnt been that hot I could have run all of it and probably could have taken 15 mins off my time!!!!!!! LOL

Well, I did it AGAIN :)
It was SOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo Hot!!! instead of a water station at 5k, there was one at 3k and 7k!!!!
Dont think I did a good time as it was way way too hot. I should have been laying in the garden, not flipping running!!!!
Dont know the time yet, but it was under the hour LOL
R had the baptism of fire, and sounds as if when I went to the loo, he got the 'TALK' about what a l;ovely women I am and I deserve happiness!!!!
He said he enjoyed himself, and once the crowd got down to about 8-10 of us we had a great laugh :) :)

Well done you, I'll do you a deal, I'm starting to try and lose weight and get fit from tomorrow, if you are still up for it I will do the Great North Run with you next year, your part of the deal and others on here is to keep me going as I easily lose the incentive to do things in life!!
