I have a 2 1/2 year old westie male (castrated through medical) I am thinking of getting another westie pup at the end of the year or early next year if available. Would i be better getting a male or bitch for bailey. he is brill natured with kids and dogs also would it be wise to stick with the same breeder for temprament or to try a more local breeder whose pups i have saw and are great they are for pets only.

I would suggest a bitch and if it were me I would go back to the breeder you got your Bailey from. Especially where you are really pleased with him and his temperament etc. Stick with what you know ;-) Completely up to you though :-)

I'd agree with Tigerlilly if your a hundred percent happy with your breeders then stick with them, you know what to expect from them.
