Hi Cally from other posters on this forum, i've heard Marks and Spencers is the best, i'm with pet plan and they cost a fortune.

Warm regards Susan

Ive got two insured with M&S and one with Argos :)

my biggest problem is i need to ensure that when its needed (hopefully not) they will pay out ok... i am with e & L for my 2 big boys but they are very expensive when i try to add my new puppy so i want to change... tesco is the cheapest at the minute but i am worried cause i dont know their history re claiming.. m&s is quite expensive too for the three of them.. but i guess peace of mind has no cost..

I'm with petplan and although they're not the cheapest they do pay out. I have heard that E & L will do whatever they can not to pay. Speak to your vet and ask them which companies they will claim direct from as they are usually the ones that are the best payers. My vet only claims from about 8 different companies and E & L are not one of them! you may be lucky in that your vet will claim from lots of different companies but I doubt that you would want to be in the position of having to pay an expensive bill yourself and then claiming it back so it's always worth asking. :-)

I have my two Labs insured with M & S.

Recently claimed  vets fees and received full settlement in about 7 days.

You do have to pay the Vet up front with M & S,  My Vet dealt with all paperwork and sent the claim form off to M&S.

When I get my pup, I am going with M+S for the following reasons
1 - There is no time limit on treatment, I believe Tesco only covers a 12 month period.
2 - They are cheaper than pet plan

By the way if you insure more than one with M&S you get a 5 % discount - plus they give you the option to change the amount of excess to be paid which can reduce premiums :)

hiya
I have just insured my 3 ( 2 dachs, 1 Dane) with M&S. The excess is £80 and its costing £25 a month!! :) :)

I thought that was a bargain considering Pet Plan told me Id be £70 a month.

Hi Cally

I have my 3 irish setters insured with tescos and when i had my old girl i had to make a claim they paid straight out with no problem at all.

Hope this helps.

Just changed to M&S from Pet Plan, as they have just put my premium up.  I discoverd that you may need to phone them to set up the monthly payment plan rather than do it on line.  Looks like a very good policy to me.
