does anybody know anything about epilepsy in bulldogs

unfortunately the only experience of this was my friend who bought a puppy about 5years ago.At about a year old Baby was diagnosed with epilepsy and has been on medication.I had a phone call from the lady who runs the kennels,also a friend,who had been looking after her for a week and the poor little girl had had two very big seizures and didnt make it.Very upsetting as she was the loveliest dog.
