Please can we have some advice on the following......

We own an English Bull Terrier bitch (called Ruby), she will be 5yrs in July. After her 1st season we had her spayed, about 9-12 months ago she started to drip urine. Sought advive from the local vet who recommended Propalin which worked great.

Sadly one morning in May, Ruby had blood in her urine, after a quick visit to the vet she was under the knife within 48hrs to remove Struvite stones from her bladder.

Now comes the problem, since the op, Ruby has been continuasly peeing herself, not once has she made an attempt to scratch at the door to go outside. Its as if she no longer feels the urge to go, as she is continuasly leaking so the bladder never fills.

After another trip to the vet, Friday (10th June) she was put on 2 Incurin tablets a day, to date this has had no effect.

Therefore has the vet during the operation caused some damage, or do we need to wait at least 7 days for the tablets to take effect.

Hope to hear some good news.

I think it is early days, the bladder wall needs to repair itself fully before you can expect it to function at its optimum again plus the abdominal wall will not be fully strong and supporting it yet.  I think that would take about 3 months in humans so you may be looking at that sort of timescale.
