Hi can anyone help me, I have a 6mth old JR pup and and early hours of sunday morning he woke us up be violently sick and wretching, we called emergency vet and £100, he gave him a shot of antibiotics and sent us back home!  He was really ill monday so got him another appt with vet and he said he has some sort of sickness bug that is going around, and that it should go between 3-4 days, well it is now wed morning and during the night our pup was violently sick again and had us up for 2hrs and then up again at 7.30am being sick.  The vet gave him some antibiotic tablets but not sure they are doing anything as he has not kept a thing down since sat afternoon.  Obviously the weight has fallen off him and my husband and I are distressed at seeing him so ill?  Any ideas?  He was in the kennels for the last 2 weeks in may and wondered whether he would have caught it there?  I have to say though, during the day when he is feeling ok, he is bouncing around like normal?

Get another opinion.  You know your puppy best and if you feel there isn't an improvement, take him to another vet.  I would have thought a sickness bug would have worked its way through him by now, but I'm no expert.  I really do sympathise with you, it is such a worry when they are so young. I hope you get on OK
