Would the German Shepherd Owners amongst you be kind enough to recommend the best English books on GSD's.
When we know our breed, we tend to know the books that are most informative, understanding and knowledgable of the breed (and interesting too of course). The GSD is new to me as an Owner, so I would like your recommendations.
The same breed can vary between British and America, and information varies too, which is why I would prefer an English author. I have recently seen a book by Angela Ibbotson, looked very interesting, but what do others think?
Grateful thanks, Lyn.

I'm a new GSD owner so I can't really recommend any but I can tell you a few;) If it's a bitch you've got try 'The Book of the Bitch' by J.M.Evans and Kay White- this I have got and read and I think it's great, quite a few of the others on here have this too. It's not specific to GSD's but for anyone with a bitch it's a must:)
A Petlove Guide to GSD's- Roy & Clarissa Allen
The Ultimate GSD- Sheila Rankin
Pet owners guide to the GSD- Dr Malcolmn Willis
The Essential GSD- Roy & Clarissa Allen
GSD's- Brian.H.Wootton
Training the GSD- John Cree
Hope these help- I've got the Pet owners guide by Malcolm Willis, this was £4.99 from WHSmith and has most of your basics in there. There's also 'The German Shepherd Dog, A genetic history of the breed' by Malcolm Willis- I'm trying to get hold of this at the minute as it's out of print- so if you have any suggestions to find it or come across it in your search please let me know:) If I were you I'd stick to the first four as these are well known people in the GSD world, although I am going to buy the last one. Anyway like I said hope these help and if/when you get any how about sending me a little 'book review';)
