Last year basingstoke held a companion show, I couldn't make it as we were away, does anyone know how I can find out if they are holding one this year? Who would I have to ring? who would organise them?

I went to this show last year - my one balled boy got a 2nd :)

Last year it was held at the end of September.  The club running it were the club who hold their training nights at the Vyne school on a Friday night I think they might be called Basingstoke and District dog training.

It was a good show, im looking forward to it this year :)  did you go to the one in Sherfield on Loddon on Saturday? there is also one in Alton this Sunday.

Thanks Claire, No didn't know about that one. Will try and make the one at Alton. Will ring and see when the basingstoke is on. Only going for a good day out, My two have never done ring craft. Do they do ring craft in basingstoke as my thirteen year old daughter would like to do showing, But I have no idea of whats involved.

Our nearest ringcraft is in Whitchurch which might be ok for your daughter to start learning the ropes but I personally didnt find it suitable for my boys.  I go to a ringcraft near marwell which is good but very busy at the moment.  The best ringcraft ive seen for juniors is at Romsey as they have a junior handling session, it is a bit of a trek but worth it.

Where abouts in Basingstoke are you?

Im in Oakley, ive lived in Basingstoke all my life on the harrow way but moved out to Oakley 2 years ago when I finally left home :D
