Hi
When she is 6 months your best bet is to enter her in just 1 or 2 classes...minor puppy bitch or if there is no minor puppy then puppy bitch. It is better to just do 1 or 2 classes since it can be a long day for a pup.
You need to go on working pastoral day for the GSD
Blackpool champ...JUNE
24-Utility,toys and terriers
25-Hounds and gundog
26th-working and pastoral
Held at
CROWN FIELDS
WESTBY ROAD
WESTBY
NR BLACKPOOL.
hope this helps

Thanks Emily Rose, i'm not competing but where going to watch, Nina doesn't turn six months until July the 3rd, what is the best time to get there? Also can you take your dog with you if it's not competing so she can watch with us.
Warm regards Susan
Bullmastiffs are first in Ring no. 37 at 9am, if you want to watch all the judging then you may be in for a long sit as there is 100 entered :D And if you want a decent seat then I'd get there a bit beofre jugding but if you are going for the day out, eg shopping too and othere breeds, then you can just keep popping back to the ring for progress, buy a catalogue then you can work out which class they are upto if you'd like to watch the challenge. We did this at Crufts, we watched all of the HV dog juding then popped back in for bits of the bitch judging and watched all off the HWV judging, its great to see so many of one breed and gives you a chance to do at bit of ringside judging and see the pros handling to pick up some pointers :)
You cannot take unentered dogs onto the show ground, unfortunatley so you'll have to find someone to watch Nina for you at home.

Emily :)
Thanks Emily, i've bought one of those fold up chairs especially for these occassions if you can take them, i'm really excited to see what happens in the ring, i'll have to take a pic of Nina with me so i can compare her to all the other dogs entered or is that sad. he he

I would advise you buy a catalogue when you get there. You can use this to identify all the dogs in the ring and it will also tell you the dogs parents names.
Take lots of money and big bags ...loads to spend you're money on.
Archer

there are usually chairs already around the rings if you wanted to free up a hand for shopping ;)
those fold up chairs are ideal for open shows though :)
I will take loads of money i'm terrible for looking all around the stalls, we went to newark open show the other week for a puppy reunion with Nina's breeder and i bought three books on the breed and all other bits and bobs. Thanks everyone.
Warm regards Susan
