My wife and I are looking to add to our family by buying a Miniature Yorkshire terrier and wondered if anyone can put us intouch with a breeder in West Yorkshire.

Hi Guest, it's probably worth noting, before you aproach breeders, that there is no such thing as a Miniature Yorkshire Terrier.

The Kennel Club breed standard states that the Yorkshire Terrier should weigh up to 7lbs, so thats quite small anyway. Of course there are some larger ones about, but they can be born in the same litters as the smaller ones. So when you buy a baby puppy there is no way of knowing whether it will be a normal (up to 7lbs) adult, or will grow on to be over standard size. If you get one that grows on........then what?

Just something to think about.

Phone the secretary of Humberside Yorkshire Terrier Club: 01638-712614. Also Northern Counties secretary: 01226-781373.  That is in South Yorkshie.
