hi there!! has anyone ever seen a shih tzu crossed with a dandie dinmont...seems we have one..thought it was a full pedigree...of course we didnt get papers to say so...just took the owners word, unfortunately for us:-( but still love him to bits!  He has all the features of a shih tzu just not the scrunched up nose! and it was the vet that mentioned the dandie dinmont breed! emails & pics welcome!!

Dandie's are really a very unusual breed, so I doubt anyone would use one to crossbreed with ...

Thanks for that but it was the vet who said this breed, and I had to look up on the internet for some pics of one, and his facial features are very similiar, but i did email one breeder ages ago regarding him and she said that southern shih tzu do tend to have a longer snout...do you agree with that? cheers!

I dont know how to say this without it sounding rude but not all shih tzu's do have the short snout some could be described a shih tzu in the loosest terms even though they have got pedigrees.  If you havent actually got any paperwork to be honest it could be a cross breed.
