could someone give me some advice. i want to have a go at showing my 6mth old puppy and hopefully go on to champ shows. i am doing a ringcraft and obedience class once a week and am now looking for some companionship shows and maybe open shows however for the first couple of times i dont want to travel too far. does anyone know of any that are on soonish.

Limit means it open to members only...so you just pay a couple of £'s to join when you enter.

No its not too soon to try open...my first show was a champ show...my pup was 6 months and 1 day...and it was great fun! Just go for it...no one will laugh...every one has to start somewhere

i laugh at him myself ,he loves eveyone and sits and wags his tail instead of standing lol. however he is getting much better.

Bolton is a 2 day open show.Excellent show.
To be honest I'm not aware of any other opens coming up that aren't passed closing date but you could have a look on www.prodogs.co.uk.We tend to have quite a few during the winter round here...nice cos champ shows are in short supply!
You're not being cheeky at all...what breed do you have?

boxer. apparently hes a nice dog. his grandad won best of breed at crufts.didnt know this till i looked into his line. didnt buy him to show but thought id give it a go.

My pup is going to be 6 months and 2 weeks when Bolton show is on, so we are going to make this our first show ,you should go our pup is going ring craft at the minute but he's been a stubborn little so and so one week goes up and down great and stands great the next week sits there refuses to move!! hopefully he'l be ready for Bolton.
sounds like mine . where do you go to ring craft as im going all the way to haydock

I forgot to say it's a good idea what someone posted go and watch a few champ shows it really is a good idea pick up tips etc
