hi thanks for taking a moment to read this post.
my self and my husband have just recently set up a web site dedicated to rottie and their owners, having kept rotties ourselves for a number of years as have our friends. We have never had the inclination to breed or to show they are mearly much loved pets they are part of the family...from past experience by myself and a family memeber we found it incresingly hard to find a good reputable breeder in our area and thought it would be a good idea to set up a site where people who where serious about owning one of these beautiful dogs...
not only is the site designed for that purpose but also to share photos of our dogs and chat about the rottweiler and use it to exchange info about the breed it
is designed to be a one stop place just for the rottweiler..
we did not think that there was anything wrong with doing this as we have never claimed to know the ins and outs of the breed ...showing etc.. we are fascinated with the breed..we do this with no monetary gain you do have a choice of paying for an ad for a month for 5.00 pounds but that just pays for hosting and bandwith. with professional web space you have to pay for a certain amount of bandwith the more people that use the site and the more bandwidth used means more money needs to be raised to keep it going as i am sure you are aware..
a breeder has mailed us and given us nothing but grief accusing us of being con people out to make lots of money?????????? how?
we do not breed.....we do not show...we just have them as pets.
we have been made out to be low life criminals! we have been offered limited support from one particular breeder who thinks we are in it for the money.
that couldn't be further from the truth..surely we have a right as a true fan of the breed to be taught and learn more?
thank you for reading. c
What is the address of your website? If you are making no gain, other than sharing your pride and joy I see no problem with dedicating a website to your dogs. Maybe jealousy?
Best wishes and good luck.

Right first of all there is a BIG problem. Your Rotties are too cute. I can't really see why you would get abuse from anyone.

thank you so much

Well, he got some free advertising for his own website I noticed. Sounds like jealousy to me, or as Jeanjeanie and Archie kindly explained to me what a troll poster is (someone out to cause trouble or an arguement). On this site they request that you do not feed it. LOL :-D

I'm sure this guy has got the completely wrong end of the stick and is purely annoyed at maybe competition with your site?
Just ignore him he will find something else to bicker about they usually do.
You have a nice little site going on heres to bigger and better!

I am a member of a few breed related forums and it always happens, another new forum comes into play and suddenly its like everyone feels the need to protect the old forum from the new!
Theres room for everybody don't forget that.
