I am keen to get a smooth coat chihuahua, but they seem to be like gold dust at the moment.
Are there any breders who's list I can be added to? Will wait as long as necessary. (Female wanted)

Hi Clare, I think you'll find that Chihuahuas are always like gold dust. They have only 1 or 2 puppies in a litter, and obviously the breeder wants to keep the best for themselves. so running on a couple of Chihuahuas is not a problem, and bitches are required to maintain a breeding line, so they are likely to be kept anyway.

Get onto a wating list with a reputable breeder and sit tight for as long as it takes. It's the only way, the best things are worth waiting for.
