my little fella had an extemely bad tummy bug a few months ago, i believe it was going around the whole country. he got over the acute stage which lasted 10 days or so with vet meds etc but it left him with slight temporary faecal incontinence when deeply asleep. we got his anal muscles better very slowly with re toilet training sort of thing, slippery elm, sillicol gel, and aloe vera juice, which he is still on.all was going very well untill earlier this week after his worm pil[we think thats what caused it] now he is dobbing again whilst asleep[bit about the size of peanut m+m] it is unfortunate as we are taking him on his early summer break in a few days and this time we wont have our own washer so we are loking for something to try quickly anyone got any ideas. he is 14 by the way and diabetic[controled]

Hi Moondrops,
What about some Pampers changing mats - you can buy a pack in the supermarket. They are like the bed protector/incontinence sheets they use in hospital and are about 2 feet square. Can't remember how much they cost but you would be able to use and they throw away!

Plain Bio Yoghurt is wonderful for getting things back on track and its cheap too :) a couple of tea/table spoonfuls on the food depending on the size of dog should do the trick :)
thanks dill, i have just given him his first spoon ,and as luck would have it, he loves it so fingers crossed.

AWW Bless :)
Don't forget Vetbed (or the non brand versions) is very cosy and comfy, easy to wash and dry - even by hand :) and doesn't harbour smells. A couple of pieces of that and some liquid Biowash would make things a lot easier :)
Hope you're able to enjoy your holiday :)
