Someone i know has a Rottie and they want to breed her to make some money, so she can earn her keep haha, shes not KC reg there not going to get her hip-scored and at a year old she has already bitten 4 people and has a bad temprement. How can i convince them not to breed her. I've told them about breed tests etc but they just arnt intrested.

I understand your frustration, but there's probably little you can actually do about this. As long as the bitch is being looked after, they are not doing anything illegal. Immoral in our eyes, but quite legal.

If you have talked to them about all the issues, you have done the best you can. The world is full of idiots, try not to lose sleep over this.

Tell her about champdogs, make her register and discuss it on here... I'm sure she'll get slated for it, it might put her off...

Or make her meet some 'proper' breeders...

'To make money' - lol how will she do that then?

My last litter I came out with £200.00 in my 'puppy pot' but that does not take into account any food costs as I pay for this out of my own pocket.

I would of been out of pocket taking food in to account -
Puppies - 4 pks nature diet
              Burns dry mini bites
              Chicken, beef or tuna
              egg
              cheese

All this every day - then the mum on top!

I also have another one to vacinate as he still has not found a home - another £40.00 & the vacination for the 2 we are keeping .....

I could go on -

Puppy toys, kongs etc
worming for mum & pups

You dont make any money usually - & I had 8 puppies that sold for a good price!

My toy poodle pups (4) went to family only as toy poodles have been in our family since I can remember (in laws too coincidently). I can feel assured that each one is well loved and cared for. I feel very lucky indeed that I can watch them grow into their new personalities.

Your friend really needs to speak to a responsible breeder about this, as this is not the way to make a bit of extra money, it is expensive and more importantly what if something went wrong during the delivery? They could lose thier dog as well as their little wallet fillers????
