Welcome to CD, Dotty-spotty :D  As a fellow (part-time) bimbo it's great to have you aboard.   There are actually lots of us on here but some are in denial ...... running for cover now    Seriously, it's good fun and there are always new things to learn and share.

Will look forward to all the news when you pick up your pretty lemon girl.

Best wishes, Teri  :)

Welcome to CD,

I have a kitten at the moment but we will be getting our Australian Shepherd puppy around October time! You must be very excited about your Dal, I am already really excited and we have got months to wait!

BTW is anyone getting really annoyed with me, keep going on about my pup yet? ;)

As I say welcome to CD - be warned it is very addictive!

Nat

Edited to add: I like Daisy as well

Hi Dottyspotty.
Welcome to champdogs.
I am a bimbo all the time and blond very blond so my firends tell me!!!
Didnt read your last post when do you get your puppy?? What breed are you getting could it be a dalmation????..... (guessing by your user name).
- By ShaynLola Date 07.06.05 17:35 UTC
Hi

Read your lastpost about your lemon dalmation pup. Have never seen a lemon one but I'm sure she's gorgeous. As for names...I like some of the ones that have been posted already, particularly Daisy (although now that someone has mentioned cows, I'm rapidly going off it). I quite like Lemony (as in Snicket) myself and I can't think of a dog it would suit more but is maybe a bit obvious!!

Welcome to the board anyway. I'm pretty new here myself but am loving it and learning loads. I have a 16 month old Lab X Chow (Shay) and 11 week old Newfie (Lola). Good luck with your pup. I look forward to hearing all about her on the board:-)

Oooh, Teri, while you're on (opportunist mode *on*) a quick question?

Roxy has a "lump" that has come up sort of between-ish/on top of her toes - it looks pink and is about the size of my little fingernail.  It has a depression in the centre that looks darker in colour.

The "nanny" in me has made an appointment at the vets for the morning already (I'm sure I contribute way too much...) but was wondering if it could be a tick?  I thought they were white-ish, but haven't seen one up close, so not sure.

Enlightment please?

Fanx honey xx

From the description, I'd say it's more likely to be an interdigital cyst.

Get some Epsom Salts (Boots have it) and dissolve some in hot water to make a foot-bath for for Roxy. Soak her foot in it twice a day (hot water, but don't scald her!) and with luck it'll draw out the pus.

Hi Vicki :D

>Oooh, Teri, while you're on (opportunist mode *on*) a quick question?<

Well you timed that all wrong :P  See JG has got you sorted - I was thinking trapped grass seed when I read your post but JG's explanation and course of treatment sounds good to me.  Re you not having seen a tick up close - consider yourself lucky ;)  I have never had one on any of my own dogs and am #### scared of any creepy crawlies but have been brave enough to remove them from friends' dogs in an emergency (ie. them being even more scared than me  )  It's late but will try and find you a tick-pic tomorrow  so you'll know what one looks like for future ref!  (I won't sleep now for scratching :D )
