If you're dog was vaccinated as a puppy (two visits for jabs, 1st at 8 or 10 wks followed by 2nd at 10 or 12 weeks) he will already have been protected from distemper, parvo, hepatitis and lepto as part of that course. If he received
no puppy vaccinations he's not protected from
ANY of the above diseases. Did you get him as a young puppy or acquire him later in life? Either way can you check back with his breeder, previous owner or rescue centre?
I would always recommend having the initial vaccinations carried out on young pups *providing there is no known adverse reaction in the breed or lines within the breed* to common first innoculations. Opinions beyond the initial innoculations vary and I'd not draw you into that debate - better that you investigate all of the above first so you know whether or not he is already covered. As to costs, as small pups it varies greatly depending on individual vets and which area of the country but approx. somewhere between £40 and £70 for the complete course is what I've heard recently.
