RR is useful but not IME really good enough on it's own for something like fireworks :( (also should be dripped onto nose leather rather than down the throat) I prefer valerian compund to the tablets - not so easy to administer due to the strong taste/smell but seems to have a more obvious result. Gilsemium (sp) is often suggested for use with RR too - should be able to get both these additions from Dorwest or Canine Natural Cures.
From several reports by friends, it seems a DAP diffuser comes highly recommended for all round calming effect on a distressed dog. I certainly intend to invest in one pre Guy Fawkes but I know several people who use them on a fairly regular basis for distressed dogs following accidents/trauma and for help during thundery spells.
