does anyone know if a dog can get hayfever, the reason i ask is my border collie has started to cough, well i would not say cough more wheeze as though he can't get his breath, he only seems to do it about say twice a day and we think it may be after we have just took him out onto cut grass, we took him for a good run this morning as usuall and this was on the big green we have near us, and he was fine no cut grass, then he went out into the back garden with hubby to the caravan and we had cut the grass two days ago and when he came back into the house he started the wheezing and breathlessness, and he did this about twice within a couple of mins and then settled down again.
could this be hayfever or kennel cough, any ideas thanks

Hi judgedredd.  According to my vet dogs don't get hayfever they have allergies, quite what the difference is I don't know, one of mine has got a runny nose and eyes.  She has Maxitrol eye gel for her eyes but nothing for her nose.
