Hi could someone tell me where the Blackpool Dog Show is to be held? I think it is 25th June 2005 but cannot find out where abouts, and is there a charge for people to go along and watch? Many Thanks

Are there going to be a lot of CD-ers at Blackpool? We are going on the Sunday to see the Aussies. I am quite looking forward to it, it will only be our second show we have been to.

I will be there Saturday with little Alfie (not so little anymore :D ) I am taking a couple of my mates along so we can have a girly weekend in blackpool too ;)

OHHHH....a viszla. My friend used to own one...lovely dogs. Will do my best to come and say hi!
Archer
Well, we actually call them wires and refer to the 'smooths' as vizslas if that makes sense?! A wire is not just a vizsla with a wire coat, oh no, he's MUCH more than that, and Idõ is proof!! No offence to the smooths, we have 2 and I love' em to death but the wires are something special :)
Might be taking Kayla too, she an 'ordinary' smooth HV, good to compare as they really are very different. She's only NFC so I'm undecided as to whether to bring her along or not as she may get a bit bored....will probably decide the night before knowing me :D
Hope to see you there, I've never been before but Diane(beard boys breeder)tells me its a lovely show, it should be a good day out for us :)

Have only met 1 wire....much more substance than their smooth coated counterparts.Lovely looking dogs!
Archer
Yes, definatley, he was the same size as our older smooth about 2 months ago and is fast catching up Kayla who is on the big side for a smooth bitch :D You should see the little mans feet....they get commented on EVERYWHERE he goes, famous feet!! There's quite few of his relatives going to Blackpool, mainly aunties and uncles who I'm sure will be more than happy to meet you :D Actually I've never met an Elkhound so maybe that would be a good plan for the day to broaden our breed horizons!!
Emily - have a looky on my site, I have my fave piccie of him on there and there'a link to his breeders site at the bottom too :)

Well will definately have to come and see the feet won't I!!! ...and if you've never met an elkie feel free to come and meet the gang!Everybody falls in love with Asa...he does a wonderful impression of a seal pup with an expression that melts even the hardest heart.Frankie will; probably just snog you to death given half a chance!...typical elkie. My names Nikki Jobson if you decide to come looking
Nikki
Will definatley try to come and see yourself and the Elkies then at some point during the day, your dogs sound like good fun :D

Emily

I will be there on Sunday with Fizz my BC.
Satincollie or anyone in the know!
This might sound silly, but are there different times for different breeds? As I say this is only the second show we have been to, the first one we went to our breeder held our hand all the way! We don't know if diferent shows are different, if that makes sense? We don't want to get there at 12 o'clock if all of the Aussies were shown at 10 o'clock!

When the entry figures are released(probably next week) they will also release a 'probable' judging order which tells you the no of dogs entered per breed and if they are first or second in the ring.If second in the ring you also sometimes get a 'not before' time.
Archer
Thanks Archer, where will I be able to find the entry figures when they are published?

No probs.
Highampress.co.uk and the dog papers...dog world and our dogs
Archer
Thanks again Archer - I will keep looking back there. I am starting to get excited now! LOL all you 'proper' dogie people must think I am mad....! :D

Mad...not at all....unless we all are LOL. If you can't get hold of the papers just post next friday and we'll have a look for you
Archer
PS...I still get excited...will give up when I don't!
Does anyone know if the entry figures have been shown anywhere? I have looked at Higham Press, but they are not there yet, unless I am looking the wrong place?!
Thanks
What breed(s) would you like to know entry figures for? I don't think they've been published yet but they send out a list with the passes and cat. vouchers so Ithose of us who have our passes can help?
Emily :)
Hi Emily,
I would like to know what time (roughly) the Aussies will be in the ring, also how many will be there.
Thanks for your help. :D
No problem Natalie :)
Aussies are first(9am) in ring 22, there's 38 dogs making 57 entries
HTH, Emily
Sorry for being a bit blonde, but does that mean they will be in the ring at 9 o'clock?
Edit: I feel even blonde-r now! I have just seen the time squeezed in!
Thanks for your help :D
