We have been blessed with the love and companionship of our red Staffie bitch, Josie, who is 11 months old now. She has joined Dave (dont ask!!!), the 3 year old Jack Russell bitch, and Sheba, a 9 year old Boxer bitch. They all get on famously.
We are so pleased with Josie that we want to get another Staffie, and I would like a blue, definately KC registered, not the Irish SBT's. I know that this is a contentious subject, but I really do like the look of them. I would like some advise - any, in fact - about
a) Blue staffie's, including prices
b) Introducing another Staffie bitch pup to the "pack" - things to do and not do, etc
c) any recommendations or warnings about breeders - I live in the Midlands, but for the right breeder, I am prepared to travel.
Thanks for taking time out to reply to this message - any replies are greatfully appreciated.
Neil

I can understand your wish for a blue staff - they can be very attractive. However good ones are reputedly very difficult to come by, so be prepared for a long wait. Good luck, though.

good luck in your search but please be careful you make sure any pup you consider has been bred with temperament ,health and conformation in mind firstly and colour second rather thhan just bred because blue is popular

I could not agree with you more, Archer - it is by a long shot more inportant to have a dog with exactly the temperament I am looking for, than what colour the dog is. It would be ideal to get the two, and to that end I do not intend to buy the first pup I see. I am quite happy for wait for as long as it takes. We struck it lucky with Josie - she was the 1st pup we saw. Her dam was exlellent - we handled the pups, and she was not cocerned at all.
One of the guys I have been talking to us a guy called Steve Ralph, who comes from Hull, I think. He breeds blues - even has a website - www.bluestaffy.co.uk. He has been very helpful and has given me plenty of advise. Hopefully I can see through all the sharks.

It took me allmost 2 yrs to find a good blue staff with papers whos parents were good temperment.
worth the wait as she has now qualified for crufts & has the most wonderfull temperment.
Sadly her breeder will not be having any more pups.
Good luck
