If a dog has epilepsie and is used to breed with, can ity be inherited by the pups?

Smudgleys answer said it all.  No dog with epilepsy should ever be used for breeding.

Ita not any of mine, I know someone who's dog has this condition, and is going to breed with it....

There are many causes of epilepsy.  Only idiopathic epilepsy is inherited.  Researchers are well on the way to locating the genes responsible, one has been found already.

Yes but to play safe the ony responsible thing is to NEVER breed from an affected dog.
