Hi when did you see the first bag, was that an hour ago?  If so sounds unfortunately like a vets job.  You know that they like to do this on a bank holiday.

Have you got someone else to go with you because many times that this has happened to me the car journey has brought on the bitch to have the pup so no matter which way it goes going to the vets is the best thing especially as it's been some time since you saw the original bag.

Are you able to help the bitch when she's having contractions and slowly move the bag?  If you are worried about this I really would get in touch with your vets as your girl is precious and I know that everythings a worry for you too/

Hope all goes OK and I've got everything crossed.

Mark you want to be on the phone to the vet - not on here !    Good luck - Teri :)

That second sac is usually a pup, I suggest getting to the vet asap if she hasn't delivered by now.

Good luck.

thanx everyone for the reply's, just got back from the vets. he's prepping her for a c-section.
he said that for a SBT she's carring a massive load ,and the puppy thats stuck is only just about engaged, so there was no way that she was going to whelp it!
i'm now sitting here on me pc waiting with baited breath/devistated to hear how she is.
first things first and thats me little girl, but is there usually a good chance that some of the puppies will survive?
kind regards
mark

Hi Mark
You did the right thing getting to the Vet. Fingers and paws x'd for you waiting for the news. I'm sure all will go well. Typical Bank Hol! Be prepared for no sleep for a while :)

Take Care
Helen

The same thing happened with my friends dog 2 weeks ago and she had 8 pups and all survived.  Hope all goes OK.

My girls have had 2 sections, first litter of 8 all survived and recently a litter of 6 all survived, you got her there nice and early when you realised there were problems, so fingers crossed for you.

Wouldn't the vet let you stay?  We always insist on staying until we bring them all home!
