I am looking to mate my Cocker Spaniel Dog but dont know where to start! Could someone please advise? My name is Kay Ward and my dog is called Westie (strange I know but that is what he was called when we got him.).

Hello Kay, the best thing to do, is have a look at the first post on the 'breeding' page and then if you are still keen, get your dog either into the showring, or to some gundog training classes. Then get him health screened by the BVA/KC, and hope his results are good. Then if he's any good at his 'job' bitch owners might approach you to use him at stud. They have the choice of the best they can find, so it's up to you to prove that your boy is better than the rest.
