how long do dogs bleed for after giving birth Abbies pups are 2 weeks old tommorrow and Abbie is still bleeding,

Anything up to 6 weeks - just like humans!

Kerrie, our vet said it can go on for weeks.  I think it should be fairly light bleeding by now through. 

HI, how much is she bleeding and what colour is it? Is it very dark red/brown or a watery pink or something in between? If its still very dark if she was mine I  would ring the vet and see what he/she says and maybe take her in for a check.

Two of my Spanish bled quite heavily for about 2 weeks and then slightly for another 4.  It always worried me so much but they never had any problems, looked healthy and the vet was happy with them.  Boy it is a worry this having a litter thing isn't it :d

Abbie is doing great she is still bleeding but the vet said she will be fine she has to go back on friday
