Help
I have a blenheim bitch who is in season and i would really love to find a dog to stud her. She is nearly six so time is running out for her. I am living in the Surrey/Hampshire area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Janine

If she hasn't had a litter yet, time has run out for her, I'm afraid. First litters are usually when a bitch is two or three years old. There are several tests for hereditary conditions she'd have to pass before you could mate her, so that rules out this season as well.

She is far too old for a first litter, she would need to have the following health tests done before she is mated, eyes(by specialist BVA/ISDS/KC panellist & not your GP vet) & heart clear, checked for slipping patellas & most important of all MRI scanned clear of Syringohydromyelia & she really should be hip scored as well

I agree with the other posts this girl is way to old if this is her first litter.  Enjoy her for what she is your wonderful pet.
