Hi

i have a bitch on day 54 but still no milk.  Her teats are only slightly swollen. Should the milk have come in by now or is this normal?

Thanks   Clair

One of my bitches produced milk a week before whelping. Another didn't let hers down till after all the pups were born.

I wouldn't be worried!

Im worrying over every little thing, its a nightmare, this will be my first litter. We didnt have her scanned (conflicting opinions on this) and i am still wondering is she isnt she, she has put on weight and is definately thicker round the middle, has been really finicky with her food, but i thought that by now there would be no question as she would be huge and her teats really swollen, i suppose it depends on the size of the litter, only time will tell now.

I have never had a bitch have milk before her puppies are born so I wouldn't worry. :-)

Blue I'm the same as you, never had a bitch with milk before the pups were born.  Eeeh, I typed mild then, now that would be good for the pups :d
