As a veterinary surgeon I am intereste dto know, what the standard is for tail length for Weimaraners. As far as I can remember they have a normal undocked tail. a client of mine that is expecting a litter of weimaraners maintains, that they should be docked
  Can you help?

The Weimaraner is certainly a traditionally docked breed. The Kennel Club breed standard calls for the tail to be docked allowing the scrotum or vulva to be covered when the tail is down.

the KC standard allows for both docked and undocked varieites nursey.

Yes, I know that tohme. The OP , a Vet, said they were unaware that the Weimaraner was a traditionally docked breed. The question about tail length I took to mean docked length, as this vet has a client that wants a litter docked.
