A Bolognese maybe?  Whatever breed you eventually decide on you are best going to a breeders house with your son to see whether he has a reaction beforehand.

Look up Affenpinscher in your search engine.  Find out all you can and then contact a breeder in your area to see if you can visit.  Good luck.

What about a Bichon Frise :-)  They don't moult at all and are very friendly little dogs with a big personality :-)
