Luke and I were there yesterday. Our judge flew through the judging, tickets and BOB were all done and dusted by 12 noon. Can't complain about his judging though as Luke got RCC.

Well done :d :d

A friend of mine has gone today with two dogs that I bred so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  She hasn't phoned yet so they've either been chucked out or haven't been judged yet :d

Really pleased as the Spanish did really well today.  My two girls came second in their classes which is great seeing that they were only clipped a couple of months ago so haven't got their show coats yet!  And a Spanish got Best Import so it was a good wet day for the breed :d

I took our 6 year old BMD yesterday, and at her first ever champ show she took 3rd in post grad and qualified for Crufts!  We are still so chuffed!!

Well done to everyone who did well.

We only went for the practice...

Hiya

I was at SKC today and was really pleased with my youngest. She has always been a wee bit funny about the judge going over her and to be quite honest today was the last chance, if she hadn't behaved today I was seriously thinking about packing it in, however she went she stood and she got a VHC which for me was fabulous. I was also really pleased because my friends dog has been waiting for his third ticket for a wee while now and was finally made up today. Another bit of good news is that the dog we used at stud was also made up today, so all in all it was a good day for me. Apart from the fact that my new suit is now mud coloured I had a really good day :D :D :D which helped to cheer me up a wee bit as the puppies started going off to their new homes :(  I had a very tearful moment this morning before I left and I'm glad I wasn't there when they went home as I would have been in a terrible state.

Well, I was going to leave Summer at home and just take Tia, glad I didnt, Tia got kicked out, Stood beautifully (we were right at the end on the line) and just as the judge came to her, she decided bouncing on hind legs was the order of the day :(  , But, Summer took Reserve in puppy :)

Congratulations Alli, and to all who were there :D

I also took a Carpenny puppy into the stakes classes, never again, :D :D  The little 6 month old (who is the image of Bailey) was so tired, lay down at start of triangle, stuck his back legs out and bellied a few feet before finding something more interesting (dropped food) on the ground. The lady who brought him over from the Isle of Man was in another ring with her dog at same time, but I looked up when the class had finished a she was laughing her heart out at us, along with the rest of the spectators. mortified is not the word, but close enough :D :D :P

Ah Kay, see you met one of my lab breeder friends from Isle of Man. I was due to ring her tomorrow to see if she made it to SKC - small world. The puppy is lovely but he is very lead shy (bit of a mummy's boy) - He is coming to me during the summer.

Yes, Patricia, a lovely lady, we spent the time looking after each others dogs on the benches, (after the fracaus) she was next to my two.  I took one look at this puppy and without looking at the catalogue I asked her if he was a Carpenny, (he is the image of Bailey) she said yes, introduced herself and we just got talking, you know how it is :D    I was watching her in the ring with the black bitch she was showing and she noticed that the puppy stakes were taking place in the next ring, so, idiot that I am, offered to run back to the bench and take him in for her, it would have been such a shame, after travelling all that distance to not get him into the class. Not that it made any difference, as it turned out. :(   Her bitch did get a bit of a fright while we were away from the benches, we got part of the story from a lady who was in a neighbouring bench.  I hope she is okay and has settled again, please let me know.  It must have upset Tia as well, because she was shaking and shivering, I think this is one of the reasons, Tia started playing up, as it was so out of character, but thankfully my lot were in crates, so were quite safe. But they were all very stressed. Not a nice thing to have happened.

Hi Kay,
What happened?
Poor Seal and Tia. You know that black bitch was so close to being put down only for my friends persistance. She is a lovely lady, with a huge heart. She looks after my two when I go away.
Of course I will let you know how she is.

Seal is lovely, but it wasn't until later that I discovered who seals Dam was, (I really need to start looking at the catalogues properly.) she is a very good bitch, and the lady who bred the Dam also kept the brother, and keeps telling me that he would be a good stud for Emma. lol :D  I am thinking very hard about it, (he is a stunning dog and doing very well in the ring) I have a choice of 4 and have around 6 weeks to make up my mind.  Anyway will send you a pm on the 'bit of a do'
