What type of lead and collar do I show my Akita in please ??? keep meaning to ask at ringcraft and keep forgetting - any advice much appreciated

ive seen them shown on different ones, a lot use those ones that have a half chain in it, semi chokes, others use the ones that look like gold necklaces, but only in the ring as theyll be hard on the coat, ive seen them use the american collars too, its a fine cord , leaders are usually a fine soft leather, again just for in the ring, not for walking around in, -not chain leads, not rope or cord ones either,not buckled collars,-any help or clear as mud :)

Clear as blooming mud Linda, quite fancied slip lead as I can make a really nice one in Australian nut (redy brown colour) but not sure of protocol. Weaver leather (American) do some lovely sets but are very ornate

its up to each and everyone what you use and feel comfortable with---within reason-forget the ornate though , how do you show her, do you stack or freestand, if youre not used to showing and you stack you wont find a slip too easy, as with akitas some pull a bit of their cheeks through to broaden the head, youd need 3 hands if youre not used ,also risk the bitch getting away if you misjudge the slack, id go for a half check and fine leash, dont you live near enough to a venue where you could watch them -or why dont you send for the american video of akitas and see all the things theyre shown on, do the club do a video you could buy, theres loads you can pick up watching others, :D
