wonder if any one can help my friends dog has just stared to eat her own dog mess
she has only just started this no change in her diet any ideas why and how to stop this thank you

Eating her own poo is completely normal. She may do it for several reasons, Nutrients missing in her food, Hunger or the pleasing (to a dog) scent! Its called Coprophagia.

She will probably grow out of it at around a year old. The best thing to do is to clear it up straight away to break the habit or if you wont always be able to do so, add something foul tasting (one would have thought that poo was horrible enough) to her poo to discourage her.
