HI ALL, COULD ANYONE PLEASE SHED SOME LIGHT PLEASE ON WHEN A STAFFORDSHIRE APPROX STOPS DEVELOPING/GROWING, REASON BEING WE HAVE A 5.5MONTH OLD PIED MALE STAFFIE WHO WEIGHS AROUND 2 1/2 STONE AND EVERY STAFFIE OWNER WE COME ACROSS SAYS " OOOOH HES GONA BE A BIG UN!"
Our Giorgia is a pied 14 month old 16- 17 inches Staff who is 15.5kg. She is long legged and long faced. They say they stop growing between 18 - 24months. So long as you can feel your dogs ribs when pressing on his sides and he has a good shape, you know he is a correct weight. Thats more inportant than size anyway. I bet he'll be gorgeous!!

hi im new to this whole forum so i dont know if im replying in the right place or anything. i was just wondering i have a staffordshire bull terrier (jedi) and was just wondering about his weight. He is around 22kg at the moment just turned 11 months old. too me he looks normal and i can feel his ribs with a gentle stroke of his side and does have a noticable waist line. i wish i could post a pic for you all to see but i have no idea on how to? sorry if ive done this in the wrong place
p.s as long as you can feel the ribs and he looks fine is it ok to be at that weight?
Thats what they say is a correct way of judging his weight ratio, is he tall?

goodness my Giorgia could get bigger and taller!?
What do you mean by old time Staff, We have always wondered where the long leggedness comes from, I mean further back than her Dad who was tall. I read somewhere it is the Amercian Staff influence,is that true ? Any info on this would be appreciated as we have always wondered about her looks, she gets stopped all the time because she is so gorgeous
