I have an eleven month old mini schnuazer who cry's constantly when we leave him alone.........we leave him in his cage when out as he is quite distructive still. Now the neighbour has understandably complained about the noise.......any advide would be appreciated.

Hello

How long do you leave him he might just be lonely ,and my brother inlaw has two
Schnauzer's and one is 5 tears the other 12 years they still bit things up I just think
the breed needs to be active and loves company ,My breed are very similar working dog lot's of energy .

I would suggest that he is walked before being left, so that he is more likely to be tired. then crated him with a marrow bone, pigs ear, hoof, whatever will likely last the time he is left. Put the radio or Tv on where he is, preferably a talk channel!

When at hom he should be put in the crate for short periods, so that he is used to time by himself when it is possible to make sure he stays quiet. He should not be let out until he has quieted after being told to do so.
