Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / I'm looking for a Westie to Love!

Hi

My boyfriend and i are looking to rehome / home a Westie!

We have both had dogs in the past, and are looking forward to homing our very own dog together!  We are looking for a puppy or up to 2 years old male or female.

At the moment, there is only my boyfriend and i living at home - we have no children yet.  However we do plan on having children in the future.  I have also looked into doggy training and there are classes near our home, and we shall also insure him/her.  We are also arranging to be registered with our local veterinary clinic as well.

We have a three bedroom house in Jersey Farm - a quiet area of St Albans.  Around Jersey Farm are lots of fields and woodland area to take our new dog for daily walks - and we also have a back garden.

It would be much appreciated if you would advise us as to whether you may have or know of any Westies that you believe would be suitable for us?  Although we both work full time - the maximum time that our new dog would be left alone throughout the day would be 4 hours.  I work locally and would come home at lunchtime to take our new Westie for a lunchtime walk.

We would love the chance to offer a Westie a new home - and give it all the love, cuddles and happiness they deserve!!

Many Thanks

Regards

Hi there you could contact the breed club in England http://www.thewesthighlandwhiteterrierclubofengland.co.uk

One of the problems you will have is getting anyone really to let you have a puppy as you work full time because for the first year it is too much to leave them so long unless you have arrangements. I am not saying it can't work with the correct arrangements but it is a big commitment.
