How old are you ?  I didn't put weight on until my mid to late 20's.  I remember once being seen by our companies nurse who questioned whether I was anorexic.  I was 6stone 3, 5 foot 6 and 24 years old.  I'm now 34 (agghhh) and weigh around the 10 stone mark.  I eat a lot less nowadays, those days I used to eat 3 large meals a day and at lunch time I used to have the 3 course meal.

Enjoy being slim because it won't last.  Everyone still thinks that I'm a lot thinner than I am, nobody believes me when I say that I'm just over 10 stone and a size 14, but I am.

yeah i thought i would put it on as i got older but i am 35 now and 5'6" and still cant get past 8 1/2 st (56kg approx) even after having had 2 kids lol
guess i must just be lucky or unlucky, depending on how u look at it :-)

I am the same as as you Jane, I am 45 and 3 kids and still only 8 1/2 to 9stone, 5 ft 4ins and depending on weather. I go up to 9 stone over the winter, but still doesnt help feeling the cold.
I have so many thyrods tests over the years, always on border line.
the only thing doctor use to say to me was sit down after a meal and relax in stead of getting up and doing the dishes straight away. I am one of the persons that always on the go.
the worst thing is sticky out hip bones, always knocking them on somthing lol.
I would love to be a bit heavier, my have bigger b--bs then lol :)

Hi. going to try slimming world. looks very good and wider range of foods, looks good. Lots of "Free foods" very good. let you knwo how all goes.
- By jmo [gb] Date 16.05.05 09:04 UTC
Hi I joined slimming world last week and have lost five pounds in a week.  It really is the most amazing diet i have ever done, I eat more now than ever before.  It is my second weigh in tomorrow night.  I have tried weight watchers, slim fast, living on celery and tomatoes tec, but this one seems to work more than the others.
- By lazydaze [gb] Date 16.05.05 15:44 UTC
My sister did slimming world, and she did really really well, lost about 4 lb every week. didnt take her long to reach her goal. she really enjoyes the meals ect.
Good luck.

I to find it hard to pur weight on also. Recently I've managed it after a few months of eating loads of pasta and nuts!! Am now up to 8 stone (was previously just over 7). I am 31, 5 ft 2, very small build. I felt really awful when I was down to 7 stone. Always light headed and lots of headaches. Doctors could find nothing wrong with me so then they kept going on about how much I would eat, practicaly accusing me of being annorexic! But I do eat, healthy meals 3 times a day and I snack! But I don't eat big portions, my stomach can't take it even if I try! I completely understand how it must be for people trying to loe weight, as it must be the opposite to me. Just wish there was a bit more sympathy and help for people trying to put weight on as much as those trying to get it off.
- By janeandkai [gb] Date 17.05.05 09:52 UTC
well said joules ....:-)
- By lazydaze [gb] Date 17.05.05 16:50 UTC

Was fourteen and a half stone on New Years Day, now down to twelve and a half. Go to Gym 2/3 times a week. No particular diet, but I don't buy food that is over 5% fat and I only drink weekends. I am not 100% about my food, still eat out but watch what I buy. I do feel so much better. Downside- only one person has noticed!
- By lazydaze [gb] Date 18.05.05 12:28 UTC
Well done jeff.
Keep it up and you will reach your goal.
We will notice if you keep posting your weight loss :)
