I have a 3 year old bitch whom we mated for the 1st time on 27 and 29 march, if she is pregnant that would make her 50 days. She does look a bit wider and her nipples are slightly swollen, she has been off her food for about 4 weeks now and completely refuses her usual dog food i am having to cook her mince which she is eating. she has been a bit sicky, but apart from that does not look abviously pregnant, should she be obviously showing by now?

She may be carrying a small litter of maybe only a couple, or maybe she is having a phantom. If you really want to know then take her to the vets for an x ray, the bones start to calcify at this stage, it may be useful just in case she is having just the one. If a bitch is having a singleton then they sometimes need a caesar. Don't want to worry you but just making you aware. Good luck

ok, thanks for the advice, i was trying to steer clear of an xray but maybe thats the answer. Ill let u know what happens.

can you get her scanned?  if she is the pups would be 2 big to see how many but you will know if she is or not
