my boy suffers from sore eyes every early summer,[hay fever] i have been puting in hypromellose drops[fake tears] to keep them moist . any ideas to what else i can try, to make them even more comfortable. the vet said antibiotic drops but as there is no infection i was not keen on the idea.  he is blind but it is no excuse not to  make his eyes comfortable and antibiotics are not the answer to everything, i have a fantastic pharmasist who helps as much as he can, so will make something up if i ask., thanks

Euphrasia, you can get homeopathic pilules and/or an eyewash.

I make my own eye wash by steeping the teabags or loose euphrasia.  It is a very popular treatment for eyes in people in Poland where they still use a lot of the3 old herbal remedies on a day to day basis and chemists stock them all.
