Hi,

Does anyone know their way to finding a fuse in a Mondeo for the alarm system.  My alarm is beeping away on short erratic beeps.  It started last night after midnight and then stopped for a while now it's going again and I want to take the fuse out until I can get to Halfords tomorrow for help!

No idea - but if all else fails and you aren't going anywhere til then - disconnect the battery :)

Try to the right under the steering wheel as my OH thinks that is where they normally on on Fords :)

If you disconnect the battery you might find you need to put your PIN number in for your radio again (would be a problem for me as I can't remember it off hand).

Having looked in the instruction manual, it's not about as clear as mud, so I plan to go and drive the car to somewhere with no houses around in the village and leave it there overnight so I might have more than 2 hours sleep like last night!    It's not a new Mondeo and I don't know if the radio would have anything as flashy as a PIN number?

Just be careful that it doesn't flatten the battery and you can't get it restarted tomorrow :)

Just depends how much the alarm is going off :) I'm not an expert :D but I would think that the safest. easiest thing is to disconnect it :)

As I only had 2 hours sleep last night you can imagine how mauch the alarm is beeping!

Did a google search for "alarm fuse in Ford Mondeo" Christine, and this is what I found.  "Central Locking / Alarm (Inc Double Locking) Module, Passenger Footwell,  Yellow, 20amps"  Now, whereabouts in the passenger footwell I have no idea, but maybe if you poke about in it you'll find it and it will be yellow coloured?  :)
